SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS

The Journal welcomes original papers of research, reviews and reports in the various branches of agriculture with  particular reference to information relevant to  agricultural development, food security and innovative technologies capable of driving national development forward. Granted the global nature of issues in agriculture and development, articles are welcome from all corners of the world.

Manuscripts submitted for publication should be results of original research, reports and reviews not previously published or submitted elsewhere for publication. Parallel submissions are not allowed. Submission of an article implies that its publication is approved by all authors and by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form without the written consent of the copyright-holder. Authors should submit a copy of their manuscript on-line by attachment to the Editor at the following email address:

editor@arcnigeria.org Submissions should include email address of the corresponding author and 4 to

8 keywords. 

The paper should be typed using MS Word, single spaced, single column on A4 size (21 x 29.7 cm) paper with 2.54 cm margin all round and using Times New Roman or Calibri, font size 12. The sections of the paper should appear in the following order: TITLE, AUTHOR(S) AND AFFILIATION(S), ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION,  MATERIALS AND METHODS, RESULTS, DISCUSSION  (OR  RESULTS AND DISCUSSION), ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, REFERENCES. The  ABSTRACT should be a maximum of 300 words, typed using same font type but font size 10. Main section headings should be centred while subsection headings should be left-justified. Skip a space between a heading and the follow-up text.

 

The use of SI units is preferred while scientific names should be italicised.  Tables should be created within the text using the Table function of MS Word. Entries in the reference list should not be indented but should be separated by a single space. Also, the year in the reference entry should not be enclosed in brackets.  Journal  titles  should be written  in full. Each manuscript  is limited to a maximum of 15 pages including Tables, Figures and other illustrations.

Only manuscripts correctly formatted will be accepted for peer review. For now, there is no page charge for publishing in JAAR. Visit the Journal website http://jaarbox.com for more details.
